Students may choose to learn the entire course on-campus or instructor-led (synchronous) distance education.
The program does not require internships or externships.

Students can earn 300 hours (50%) of the program.

Curriculum:
The curriculum for students enrolled in a Hairstylist course shall consist of six hundred (600) clock hours of technical instruction and practical operations covering all practices constituting the art of barbering pursuant to Section 7316 of the Barbering and Cosmetology Act. Technical instruction means instruction given by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, or examination. Practical operation means the actual performance by the student of a complete service on another person or on a mannequin. Practical training means the time it takes to perform a practical operation.
